Summary: | The disclosure relates to a self-checkout system (10) including a base (12) and a scan gate (28) extending over at least a portion of the base (12), the scan gate (28) having a field of view that encompasses 360-degree coverage of the items (78) such that the scan gate (28) is able to obtain and read encoded data on any surface of the item (78) passing through the scan gate (28). The base (12) may include one or more rails (18, 20) positioned along the periphery to help retain items (78) on the surface (14) of the base (12) once they have been passed through the scan gate (28)
L'invention concerne un système d'encaissement automatique (10) comprenant une base (12) et une grille de balayage (28) s'étendant sur au moins une partie de la base (12), la grille de balayage (28) ayant un champ de vision qui englobe une couverture à 360 degrés des articles (78), de sorte que la grille de balayage (28) puisse obtenir et lire des données codées sur n'importe quelle surface de l'article (78) passant à travers la grille de balayage (28).
