Provided is a cutting tool containing a sintered body which includes a first hard phase, a binder phase, and Al2O3. The first hard phase comprises WC particles. The binder phase contains a first metal comprising at least one selected from Co and Ni as the primary components, and further contains C and a second metal comprising at least one selected from Al and W.
