Summary:The present invention relates to a planar optical waveguide and an optical module. The planar optical waveguide according to the present invention relates to a planar optical waveguide having a core and clads provided on the upper and lower portions of the core, respectively, wherein the upper clad at the end of a light source side has a first refractive surface formed by polishing so as to be inclined at a first angle such that light irradiated to the upper portion of the core may be refracted so as to be guided to the core. Thus, the present invention may reduce optical coupling loss without having a separate optical waveguide lens by forming refractive surfaces on the upper clad and the lower clad of the planar optical waveguide, respectively, in consideration of the beam characteristics of the light source. La présente invention concerne un guide d'ondes optique plan et un module optique. Le guide d'ondes optique planaire selon la présente invention concerne un guide d'ondes optique plan ayant un noyau et des clades disposés sur les parties supérieure et inférieure du noyau, respectivement, la gaine supérieure au niveau de l'extrémité d'un côté de source de lumière ayant une première surface de réfraction formée par polissage de façon à être inclinée selon un premier angle de telle sorte que la lumière irradiée vers la partie supérieure du noyau peut être réfractée de façon à être guidée vers le noyau. Ainsi, la présente invention peut réduire la perte de couplage optique sans avoir recours à une lentille de guide d'onde optique séparée en formant des surfaces de réfraction sur la gaine supérieure et la gaine inférieure du guide d'onde optique planaire, respectivement, en tenant compte des caractéristiques de faisceau de la source de lumière. 본 발명은 평면 광도파로 및 광 모듈에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 평면 광도파로는, 코어 및 코어의 상부와 하부에 각각 마련되는 클래드를 구비하는 평면 광도파로로서, 광원측 종단의 상부 클래드는 코어의 상부로 방사되는 광을 굴절시켜 코어로 유도할 수 있도록 제1 각도로 기울어지게 연마되어 형성되는 제1 굴절면을 구비한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 광원의 빔 특성을 고려하여 평면 광도파로의 상부 클래드와 하부 클래드에 각각 굴절면을 형성함으로써, 별도의 광도파로 렌즈를 구비하지 않고 광 결합 손실을 줄일 수 있다.
