L'invention concerne des procédés d'hydroxylation de benzène pour produire du phénol à l'aide de CO2 en tant que promoteur. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production de phénol qui peut comprendre la mise en contact d'un catalyseur supporté par une zéolite avec un mélange réactionnel gazeux qui comprend du benzène, de l'oxygène (O2(g)) et du dioxyde de carbone (CO2(g)) dans des conditions suffisantes pour produire un flux de produit contenant du phénol.
