Summary: | An MMC-based electromechanical transient simulation and modeling method and system for a voltage source converter-based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) and direct current power grid. The method comprises: establishing a transient simulation model comprising a steady-state trend model based on a controlled current source, an alternating current transient model, and a direct current transient model, wherein the steady-state trend model based on the controlled current source is employed to generate initial trend data required for a transient simulation (S1); and simulating, by means of the transient simulation model, an electromechanical transient operation characteristic of a VSC-HVDC and direct current power grid in different operation conditions (S2).
