The present invention relates to an anchoring device for removably securing a child seat to a foldable rear seat of a motor vehicle, said anchoring device having two metal anchoring rings (40) mounted on at least one support member (50) intended to be fastened to the floor of said vehicle; characterized in that said metal anchoring rings (40) are mounted on said support member (50) so as to be pivotable about one and the same transverse axis.
