A process to form a polymer composition comprising an ethylene-based polymer and a functionalized ethylene-based polymer, said process comprising the steps described herein, which include passing a polymer melt through at least one static mixer, and wherein the functionalized ethylene-based polymer, in melt form, is introduced into the polymer melt, before the polymer melt enters the static mixer. L'invention concerne un procédé de formation d'une composition polymère comprenant un polymère à base d'éthylène et un polymère à base d'éthylène fonctionnalisé, ledit procédé comprenant les étapes décrites dans la description, consistant à faire passer un polymère fondu à travers au moins un mélangeur statique, le polymère à base d'éthylène fonctionnalisé, sous forme fondue, étant introduit dans le polymère fondu, avant que ce dernier ne pénètre dans le mélangeur statique.
