Abstract A robot arm system (1) is disclosed comprising a first robot arm (3) and a second robot arm (5), and a robot controller (10), configured to allow an operator to perform lead through programming of the first robot arm. The robot controller(10)is configured to determine a weight of an object (8) to be handled by the robot arm system (1) and comparing the weight of the object with a maximum allowed handling weight for the first robot arm (3) during lead through programming. If the weight of the object exceeds the maximum allowed handling weight for the first robot arm, the robot controller is configured to provide a possibility to instruct the robot arm system (1) to simultaneously use both the first robot arm (3) and the second robot arm (5) to handle the object (8). A corresponding method is also disclosed.
