La présente invention concerne des polymères aromatiques de vinyle expansibles comprenant du coke broyé, ledit coke broyé ayant une hauteur moyenne d'empilement (Lc) de cristallites de carbone d'au moins 4 nm, un diamètre médian de particule en volume (D50) compris entre 1 et moins de 5 µm et est caractérisé par un span (D90-D10)/D50 inférieur à 2,5. Les pièces moulées produites à partir des polymères aromatiques de vinyle expansibles selon l'invention présentent de faibles conductivités thermiques pour une mousse basse densité.
