A method of detecting printing fluid mixing is provided. A test pattern for at least one printing fluid is printed with a printing device. The test pattern for the at least one printing fluid is scanned with a scanning device. Colorimetric data of the test pattern for the at least one printing fluid are obtained. Metric values are determined from the colorimetric data. A statistical analysis is performed on the determined metric values. Based on the statistical analysis, it is determined whether printing fluid mixing has occurred and where printing fluid mixing has occurred. L'invention concerne un procédé de détection de mélange de fluide d'impression. Un motif de test pour au moins un fluide d'impression est imprimé par un dispositif d'impression. Le motif de test pour ledit au moins un fluide d'impression est balayé par un dispositif de balayage. Des données colorimétriques du motif de test pour ledit au moins un fluide d'impression sont obtenues. Des valeurs métriques sont déterminées à partir des données colorimétriques. Une analyse statistique est effectuée sur les valeurs métriques déterminées. Sur la base de l'analyse statistique, il est déterminé si un mélange de fluide d'impression s'est produit et à quel endroit celui-ci s'est produit.
