The present invention provides a process for obtaining an extract from peach flower extract (Primus persica L.) for skin cosmetic use, a peach flower extract obtainable by the process and a cosmetic composition comprising the said extract. The invention further provides a method for modulating the SIRT2 expression, a method of treatment designed to reduce and/or correct the signs of aging and photo-aging of the skin and keratinous appendages, and to protect the skin against aggressions due to ultraviolet radiation. La présente invention concerne un procédé d'obtention d'un extrait à partir d'un extrait de fleur de pêcher (Primus persica L.) pour une utilisation cosmétique sur la peau, un extrait de fleur de pêcher pouvant être obtenu par le procédé et une composition cosmétique comprenant ledit extrait. L'invention concerne en outre une méthode de modulation de l'expression de SIRT2, une méthode de traitement conçue pour réduire et/ou corriger les signes du vieillissement et du photovieillissement de la peau et des appendices kératiniques, et pour protéger la peau contre les agressions dues au rayonnement ultraviolet.
