A bone plate having at least one variable angle locking hole is described. The variable angle locking hole allows a bone anchor having a threaded head to be driven into underlying bone while oriented at an angle with respect to a central hole axis of the hole that is within a range of angles at which the head is configured to threadedly mate with the at least one thread of the bone plate. Accordingly, the bone anchor can be driven into the underlying bone until the threaded head threadedly purchases with the bone plate inside the variable angle locking hole. La présente invention concerne une plaque osseuse ayant au moins un trou de verrouillage à angle variable. Le trou de verrouillage à angle variable permet à un ancrage osseux ayant une tête filetée d'être enfoncé dans l'os sous-jacent tout en étant orienté selon un angle par rapport à un axe de trou central du trou qui se trouve dans une plage d'angles au niveau de laquelle la tête est conçue pour s'accoupler par filetage avec le ou les filets de la plaque osseuse. Par conséquent, l'ancrage osseux peut être enfoncé dans l'os sous-jacent jusqu'à ce que la tête filetée vienne en prise avec le filetage de la plaque osseuse à l'intérieur du trou de verrouillage à angle variable.
