A method for updating a network allocation vector (NAV) timer by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN system according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: detecting a first frame including a transmission opportunity (TXOP) duration field; updating an NAV timer maintained by the STA in order to protect a TXOP of another STA, on the basis of the TXOP duration field of the first frame; and when the NAV timer indicates zero, performing channel access for frame transmission of the STA, wherein, in updating the NAV timer, when the TXOP duration field has a specific value that does not belong to a valid TXOP duration, the STA resets the NAV timer to zero and performs the channel access on the basis of an extended inter-frame space (EIFS) operation, on an assumption that the first frame is a last frame transmitted within the TXOP of the another STA. Conformément à un mode de réalisation, la présente invention concerne un procédé de mise à jour d'un temporisateur de vecteur d'attribution de réseau (NAV) par une station (STA) dans un système de réseau local (LAN) sans fil, lequel procédé peut consister : à détecter une première trame comprenant un champ de durée d'opportunité de transmission (TXOP) ; à mettre à jour un temporisateur de NAV maintenu par la STA afin de protéger une TXOP d'une autre STA, sur la base du champ de durée de TXOP de la première trame ; et lorsque le temporisateur de NAV indique zéro, à effectuer un accès à un canal pour une transmission de trame de la STA, lors de la mise à jour du temporisateur de NAV, lorsque le champ de durée de TXOP a une valeur spécifique qui n'appartient pas à une durée de TXOP valide, la STA remettant le temporisateur de NAV à zéro et effectuant l'accès à un canal sur la base d'une opération d'espace inter-trames étendu (EIFS), en supposant que la première trame est une dernière trame transmise dans la TXOP de l'autre STA. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 무선랜 시스템에서 무선랜 시스템에서 스테이션(STA)이 NAV(network allocation vector) 타이머를 업데이트하는 방법은, TXOP 기간(transmission opportunity duration) 필드를 포함하는 제1 프레임을 검출하는 단계; 다른 STA의 TXOP를 보호하기 위하여 상기 STA에서 유지하고 있는 NAV 타이머를 상기 제1 프레임의 TXOP 기간 필드에 기반하여 업데이트하는 단계; 및 상기 NAV 타이머가 0인 경우, 상기 STA의 프레임 송신을 위해 채널 엑세스를 수행하는 단계를 포함하되, 상기 NAV 타이머를 업데이트함에 있어서, 상기 TXOP 기간 필드가 유효한 TXOP 기간이 아닌 특정 값인 경우, 상기 STA은 상기 제1 프레임이 상기 다른 STA의 TXOP 내에서 송신되는 마지막 프레임이라는 가정하에 상기 NAV 타이머를 0으로 리셋하고, EIFS(extended inter-frame space) 동작 기반으로 상기 채널 엑세스를 수행할 수 있다.
