In the invention, a loose component supply device comprises: a component supporting member 150 supporting a plurality of components in a scattered state; a component recovery container 180 for recovering from an opening thereof components supported by the component supporting member; and a container oscillating device for oscillating the component supporting member, orienting the opening of the component recovery container toward the component supporting member, thereby scattering the components recovered by the component recovery container onto the component supporting member. In this manner, components are scattered directly from the component recovery container onto the component supporting member, allowing the cycle time to be shortened, and improving the practical use of the component supply device.
