The electronic device according to one embodiment comprises: an optical module for emitting light at an object, and detecting the distance from the electronic device up to the object by using the light reflected from the object; and a processor for determining touch information and/or gesture information of the object on the basis of detected information of the distance up to the object. Selon certains modes de réalisation, l'invention concerne un dispositif électronique et son procédé de fonctionnement.
