Le système comprend deux capteurs basés au sol espacés l'un de l'autre pour recevoir de la lumière provenant d'une source laser qui a été dispersée hors-axe par des molécules d'air et des particules pour former une imagerie à lumière diffusée. Un processeur fonctionne sur l'imagerie à partir des deux capteurs pour géolocaliser la source de lumière laser sur le sol.
