The invention relates to a preform comprising several textile reinforcement layers which are arranged in a mould (10) by an automatic placement head and are connected to each other, and which can be dry or pre-impregnated, in order to form a part made of composite materials after curing of an impregnating resin, said part having special folds (4) produced by conformation of the preform (2) after the placement of the reinforcement layers; at said special folds, there are gaps or unbonded areas between at least some of the reinforcement layers. Préforme comprenant plusieurs couches de renforts textiles déposées dans un moule (10) par une tête de dépose automatique et liées entre elles, qui peuvent être sèches ou pré-imprégnées, pour former une pièce en matériaux composites après cuisson d'une résine d'imprégnation, cette pièce présentant des pliages particuliers (4) réalisés par conformation de la préforme (2) après la dépose des couches de renfort, au niveau de ces pliages particuliers les couches de renfort comportant entre au moins certaines d'entre elles, un espacement ou une absence de liage.
