[Problem] To provide a management device and a management method with which it is possible to more appropriately respond to the increase or decrease of communication devices due to a change in the connection relationship of the communication devices. The subnet calculation unit 13 calculates the number of bits of the subnet part of an address assigned to the communication devices on the basis of the received information and the number of settable addresses.
