Provided is a method with which it is possible to produce a high-purity thiocarbonyl compound via an industrially practicable production method by removing a sulfurizing agent-derived byproduct via a simple post-reaction purification method. This production method for a thiocarbonyl compound (B) includes, in the following order: a step (1), in which a carbonyl compound (A), a diphosphetane-disulfide compound (C), and a solvent (X) are heated, yielding a mixture; and a step (2), in which the mixture is alkali-treated with an alkali aqueous solution having a concentration of at most 25 wt%. L'invention concerne un procédé grâce auquel il est possible de produire un composé thiocarbonyle de grande pureté par un procédé de production approprié pour l'usage industriel, par l'élimination d'un sous-produit dérivé d'un agent de sulfuration par l'intermédiaire d'un simple procédé de purification post-réaction. Ce procédé de production d'un composé thiocarbonyle (B) comprend, dans l'ordre suivant : une étape (1), dans laquelle un composé carbonyle (A), un composé diphosphétane-disulfure (C) et un solvant (X) sont chauffés pour former un mélange ; et une étape (2), dans laquelle le mélange est traité par un alcali à l'aide d'une solution aqueuse alcaline ayant une concentration d'au plus 25 % en poids. 反応後に簡便な精製方法で、硫化剤に由来する副生成物を除去することにより、工業化可能な製造方法で高純度のチオカルボニル化合物を製造し得る方法を提供する。　カルボニル化合物（Ａ）、ジホスフェタンジスルフィド化合物（Ｃ）および溶媒（Ｘ）を加熱して混合物を得る工程（１）、および得られた混合物を２５重量％以下の濃度のアルカリ水溶液でアルカリ処理する工程（２）をこの順に含むチオカルボニル化合物（Ｂ）の製造方法。
