A transport device having two vertically spaced apart and parallel tracks comprises an upper track (1) and a lower track (2) which are vertically spaced apart and parallel to each other. The transport device further comprises a locomotive (3) disposed between the upper track (1) and the lower track (2). The bottom of the locomotive (3) is provided with a driving wheel (4) supported by the lower track (4). The bottom of the locomotive (3) is further provided with a lower guiding wheel (5) engaging two sides of the lower track (2) by means of clamping. The top of the locomotive (3) is provided with an upper guiding wheel (6) engaging two sides of the upper track (1) by means of clamping. The transport device further comprises a support for supporting the upper track (1) and the lower track (2). The invention can operate at a higher speed, has improved transport performance high efficiency and low noise, is light, convenient, fast and safe, and occupies less space. The transport device of the invention can be su
