The invention relates to a method for the preparation of substituted 2-aryl-ethanols of formula (I) by the reaction of Grignard compounds of formula (II) in the presence of a copper compound with ethylene oxide. The invention also relates to novel substituted 2-aryl-ethanols of formula (I). L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de 2-aryl-éthanols substitués représentés par la formule (I) par mise en réaction de réactifs de grignards représentés par la formule (II) avec l'oxyde d'éthylène en présence d'un composé du cuivre. L'invention concerne également de nouveaux 2-aryl-éthanols substitués représentés par la formule (I).
