The objective of the invention is to improve convenience in relation to handling. This control device is provided with: a communication portion capable of communicating wirelessly with an image capturing device; a display control portion which displays information relating to the image capturing device, on the basis of communication with the image capturing device; and a detachable portion which is capable of engaging with a locking portion of an accessory and of being attached to and detached from the accessory. By this means, when the control device is locked to the accessory, the control device is capable of connecting wirelessly to the image capturing device and of controlling the image capturing device, and convenience in relation to handling can therefore be improved.
