Summary:The present invention relates to an improved crystallization procedure to obtain canagliflozin hemihydrate crystals having a narrow particle size distribution by removing a small part of the crystalline suspension in the crystallization vessel from said vessel and subjecting said part to particle size reduction of the formed crystals followed by heating and reintroducting said part of the crystalline suspension again in the crystallization vessel which is kept within a specific temperature range. La présente invention concerne un procédé de cristallisation amélioré qui permet d'obtenir des cristaux de canagliflozine hémihydrate ayant une distribution granulométrique étroite, en éliminant une petite partie de la suspension cristalline dans la cuve de cristallisation de ladite cuve et en soumettant cette partie à une réduction granulométrique des cristaux formés, puis en chauffant et en réintroduisant ladite partie de la suspension cristalline dans la cuve de cristallisation qui est maintenue dans une plage de températures spécifique.
