Summary:A process for preparing and isolating pharmaceutical active ingredient particles having a particle size of between about 0.1 and 30 microns, wherein a slurry comprising the active ingredient and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients is fed into a thin film evaporator under suitable conditions for less than 10 minutes sufficient to generate solid matrix particles comprising active ingredient and one or more excipients, wherein the particles have less than 5% residual solvent. La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation et d'isolement de particules de substance pharmaceutique active ayant une taille de particule comprise entre environ 0,1 et 30 microns, dans lequel une suspension concentrée comprenant la substance active et un ou plusieurs excipients pharmaceutiquement actifs est alimentée dans un évaporateur à couche mince pendant moins de 10 minutes dans des conditions adaptées suffisantes pour générer des particules de matrice solide comprenant la substance active et un ou plusieurs excipients, les particules contenant moins de 5 % de solvant résiduel.
