Summary: | The present invention relates to the technical field of batteries, and specifically, to a new-generation high-rate zinc secondary battery. The zinc secondary battery comprises an anode plate, a cathode plate and electrolyte. The electrolyte is in contact with the anode plate and the cathode plate separately. The anode plate is a zinc plate, and the cathode plate is a cathode plate having a high specific surface area. The electrolyte is an acidic soluble zinc salt solution. In the present invention, a nickel electrode that easily becomes poisonous in the prior art is replaced by a cathode plate having a high specific surface area, and accordingly the problem of a positive electrode material, which easily becomes poisonous, of the zinc secondary battery, is completely resolved; the battery has a long cycle service life, a very outstanding rate and high practicality.
