The present invention relates to a novel use of a compound of Chemical Formula 1 (radotinib) in the prevention or treatment of viral respiratory disease. According to the present invention, a compound of Chemical Formula 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can be used for the prevention, alleviation or treatment of coronavirus infection. Specifically, the present invention can be used as a useful antiviral agent for the prevention or treatment of disease caused by infection of Middle East respiratory syndrome-coronavirus (MERS-CoV). La présente invention concerne une nouvelle utilisation d'un composé de Formule Chimique 1 (radotinib) dans la prévention ou le traitement de maladie respiratoire virale. Selon la présente invention, un composé de Formule Chimique 1 ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci peut être utilisé pour la prévention, le soulagement ou le traitement d'une infection de coronavirus. Spécifiquement, la présente invention peut être utilisée en tant qu'agent antiviral utile pour la prévention ou le traitement de maladie provoquée par une infection de coronavirus du syndrome respiratoire du Moyen-Orient (MERS-CoV).
