Summary:A crosslinkable silicone based emulsion composition includes a hydroxylated polydiorganopolysiloxane grafted onto at least one colloidal silica dispersion, wherein the at least one hydroxylated polydiorganopolysiloxane grafted onto the least one colloidal silica dispersion contains residual silanol groups from the at least one hydroxylated polydiorganopolysiloxane. Further, a waterborne co-binder silicone-organic resin composition includes (A) the crosslinkable silicone emulsion and (B) an organic resin emulsion which provides improved cured properties including, but not limited to, improved hydrophobicity (water resistance), scratch resistance and gloss retention as well as process for making the emulsions and the compositions. La présente invention concerne une composition d'émulsion à base de silicone réticulable comprenant un polydiorganopolysiloxane hydroxylé greffé sur au moins une dispersion de silice colloïdale, le ou les polydiorganopolysiloxane(s) hydroxylé(s) greffé(s) sur la ou les dispersion(s) de silice colloïdale contenant des groupes silanol résiduels issues du ou des polydiorganopolysiloxane(s) hydroxylé(s). En outre, une composition co-liante de résine organique et de silicone à base d'eau comprend (A) l'émulsion de silicone réticulable et (B) une émulsion de résine organique qui permet d'obtenir de meilleures propriétés durcies comprenant, mais sans s'y limiter, une hydrophobicité (résistance à l'eau), une résistance à la rayure et une conservation de brillance améliorées ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication des émulsions et des compositions.
