The patient support apparatus includes a notification system for visually notifying a caregiver of a condition or status of a component of the patient support apparatus. Appareil de soutien de patient comprenant un cadre de base, un mécanisme de levage soutenant un cadre supérieur par rapport au cadre de base, un cadre de charge et une pluralité de sections ponts, une surface de soutien de patient, et un certain nombre de barrières positionnées autour de la surface de soutien de patient. L'appareil de soutien de patient comprend un système de notification destiné à informer visuellement un soignant d'une condition ou d'un état d'un composant de l'appareil de soutient de patient.
