Summary: | A method for the reduction or inactivation of viral and microbial content in the manufacturing of pancreatin API is disclosed. The method includes treating animal-derived tissue with peracetic acid to reduce viral activity and bacterial load prior to processing. In particular, the method includes treating porcine pancreas glands with peracteic acid prior to extracting a pancreatin API from the treated glandular tissue.
L'invention concerne un procédé de réduction ou d'inactivation du contenu viral et microbien dans la fabrication de pancréatine IPA. Le procédé comprend le traitement de tissus provenant d'animaux à l'aide d'acide peracétique pour réduire l'activité virale et la charge bactérienne avant le traitement. En particulier, le procédé comprend le traitement de glandes pancréatiques de porc avec de l'acide peracétique avant l'extraction de pancréatine IPA hors du tissu glandulaire traité. |
