A flexible composite suitable for use in a knife, pick, bullet and fragment-resistant article comprising (i) a first zone comprising fabric but no resin, the first first zone comprising from 10 to 90 percent of the total thickness of the composite, (ii) a third zone comprising an elastomeric or thermoplastic resin but no fabric, the third zone comprising from 0 to 50 percent of the total thickness of the composite and (iii) a second zone, located between the first and third zones, comprising fabric and an elastomeric or thermoplastic resin, the second zone comprising from 10 to 90 percent of the total thickness of the composite. Cette invention concerne un composite souple approprié pour être utilisé en tant qu'article résistance aux coups de couteau, à l'arrachement, aux balles et aux fragments, comprenant (i) une première zone comprenant un tissu excluant la résine, la première zone comprenant de 10 à 90 pour cent de l'épaisseur totale du composite, (ii) une troisième zone comprenant une résine élastomère ou thermoplastique mais pas de tissu, la troisième zone comprenant de 0 à 50 pour cent de l'épaisseur totale du composite et (iii) une deuxième zone, disposée entre les première et troisième zones, comprenant un tissu et une résine élastomère ou thermoplastique, la deuxième zone comprenant de 10 à 90 pour cent de l'épaisseur totale du composite.
