Disclosed are: a communication technique for fusing, with IoT technology, a 5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G system; and a system therefor. Provided is a method for installing a profile of a terminal having an embed universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) in a mobile communication system, the method comprising the steps of: making a request for an eUICC authentication certificate to an eUICC so as to receive the eUICC authentication certificate; and transferring a profile package to the eUICC so as to install a profile, wherein the received eUICC authentication certificate further comprises an eUICC manufacturer (EUM) authentication certificate. La présente invention concerne une technique de communication permettant de faire fusionner avec une technologie de l'Internet des objets (IdO), un système de communication 5G permettant de prendre en charge une vitesse de transmission de données supérieure à celle d'un système 4G ; et un système correspondant. L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'installer un profil d'un terminal ayant une carte de circuit intégré universelle incorporée (eUICC) dans un système de communication mobile, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant : à faire une demande d'un certificat d'authentification d'eUICC à une eUICC de manière à recevoir le certificat d'authentification d'eUICC ; et à transférer un ensemble de profils à l'eUICC de manière à installer un profil, le certificat d'authentification d'eUICC reçu comprenant en outre un certificat d'authentification de fabricant d'eUICC (EUM) . 본 개시는 4G 시스템 이후 보다 높은 데이터 전송률을 지원하기 위한 5G 통신 시스템을 IoT 기술과 융합하는 통신 기법 및 그 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 개시는 이동통신 시스템에서 eUICC(embed universal integrated circuit card)를 구비하는 단말의 프로파일 설치 방법에 있어서, eUICC에게 eUICC 인증서를 요청하여 상기 eUICC 인증서를 수신하는 동작; 및 프로파일 패키지를 eUICC에게 전달하여 상기 프로파일을 설치하는 동작을 포함하되, 상기 수신되는 eUICC 인증서는 EUM(eUICC manufacturer) 인증서를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법을 제공한다.
