This lubricating oil composition for a four stroke engine contains a base oil (A) and 0.5-10 mass% of a polyolefin (B) which has at least constituent units derived from isobutene and which has a number average molecular weight of 500-10,000. The lubricating oil composition has a sulfated ash content of 0.3-1.2 mass%.
