The drive and motor system and method can also include at least one direct current source and a six phase inverter switching between positive and negative power of the at least one direct current source. La présente invention concerne un système moteur et d'entraînement et un procédé associé pour une machine à six phases ayant une tension de mode commun négligeable. La machine à six phases comprend six enroulements de phase divisés en au moins deux groupes d'enroulement conçus pour produire une modulation d'impulsions en largeur de mode commun égale à zéro. Le système moteur et d'entraînement et le procédé associé peuvent également comprendre au moins une source de courant continu et un onduleur à six phases commutant entre une puissance positive et négative de ladite source de courant continu.
