La présente invention permet l'équilibrage de charge pour la commande dans un système de communication sans fil. Le procédé de fonctionnement d'une station de base comprend les étapes consistant : à déterminer la mobilité d'un terminal; et, si la mobilité dépasse un seuil, à transmettre au terminal un message donnant l'ordre de traiter le plan de commande dudit terminal avec une autre station de base.
