La présente invention concerne un procédé de détermination quantitative de disulfure de diméthyle comprenant les étapes consistant à mettre en oeuvre une séparation chromatographique d'un analyte contenant au moins du disulfure de diméthyle et de l'acide méthanesulfonique, et à déterminer quantitativement le disulfure de diméthyle au moyen de la détection ampérométrique pulsée.
