Summary:The development of attenuated live vaccines against salmonellosis has increased over the past years due to the nonexistence of completely effective vaccine formulations which enable different S. enterica serovars to be more effectively controlled. The development of a safe strain that is capable of inducing an efficient immune response involves the production of various attenuated mutants that can be clinically tested or which have unique features that can be combined with other specific mutations, generating increasingly safe and efficient strains. The present invention relates to a vaccine vector comprising mutants for thegene fis, wherein the protein that results from expression thereof, Fis, associates with the bacterial nucleoid regulating the expression of various genes, many of which are related to bacterial pathogenicity. The present invention also relates to a vaccine comprising said mutant strains which generate a response capable of inducing efficient protection against salmonellosis. La mise au point de vaccins vivants atténués contre la salmonellose s'est accrue ces dernières années en raison de l'absence de formulations vaccinales totalement efficaces permettant une lutte plus efficace contre les diverses sérovariétés de S. enterica. Le développement d'une lignée sûre et capable d'induire une réponse immunitaire efficace implique l'obtention de divers mutants atténués pouvant être testés cliniquement ou présentant des caractéristiques uniques susceptibles d'être combinées à d'autres mutations spécifiques, produisant des lignées de plus en plus sûres et efficaces. La présente invention concerne un vecteur vaccinal comprenant des mutants pour le gène fis, dont la protéine résultante de son expression, Fis, s'associe au nucléoïde bactérien, régulant l'expression de différents gènes, dont beaucoup sont liés au processus de pathogénicité bactérienne. L'invention concerne également un vaccin comprenant lesdites lignées mutantes, produisant une réponse capable d'induire une protection efficace contre la salmonellose. O desenvolvimento de vactnas vivas atenuadas contra salmonelose tern crescido nos ultimos anos em decorrencia da nao existencia de formulacoes vacinais totalmente efetivas, que permitam um controle mais eficaz das diferentes sorovariedades de S. enterica. O desenvolvimento de uma linhagem segura e capaz de induzir eficiente resposta imune envolve a obtencao de diferentes mutantes atenuados que possam ser testados clinicamente, ou que tenham caracteristicas unicas que possam ser combinadas a outras mutacoes especificas, gerando linhagens cada vez mais seguras e eficientes. A presente invengao se refere a vetor vacinal compreendendo mutantes para o gene fis, cuja proteina resultante de sua expressao, Fis, se associa ao nucleoide bacteriano, regulando a expressao de diversos genes, muitos relacionados com o processo de patogenicidade bacteriana. Tambem se refere a vacina compreendendo as referidas linhagens mutantes que geram uma resposta capaz de induzir protecao eficiente contra salmonelose.
