Summary: | Devices and methods for isolating and characterizing microbial cells from an environment are provided. The devices integrate sub-micron constrictions in a nanofluidic device with a standard microtiter plate format to facilitate the high throughput isolation, culturing, analysis, and screening of bacteria and other microbial cells in natural and man-made environments, particularly environments containing microbes adhered on particulate matter.
Cette invention concerne des dispositifs et des procédés permettant d'isoler et de caractériser des cellules microbiennes à partir d'un environnement. Les dispositifs comportent des resserrements submicroniques dans un dispositif nanofluidique au format d'un plaque de microtitrage standard pour faciliter l'isolement, la culture, l'analyse et le criblage à haut débit de bactéries et autres cellules microbiennes dans des environnements naturels et artificiels, en particulier des environnements contenant des microbes qui adhèrent à une matière particulaire. |
