La présente invention concerne des procédés et des compositions permettant d'améliorer la résistance d'une feuille de papier. Le procédé comprend l'adjonction à la feuille de papier d'un polymère contenant de l'amine. Le polymère contenant de l'amine interagit avec des matières telles que du GPAM ou de l'amidon pour rendre le papier plus résistant, y compris en termes de résistance à la traction, de résistance de surface et de résistance globale.
