In another instance, the signal can grant or deny permission to perform a self-serviced failover. L'invention porte sur un basculement semi-automatique comprenant un basculement automatique par un fournisseur de services ainsi qu'un basculement en libre-service par un consommateur de services. Un signal peut être fourni par un fournisseur de services en se fondant sur l'analyse d'un incident qui touche le fournisseur de services. Le lancement d'un basculement en libre-service par un consommateur de services peut être fondé sur le signal. Dans un exemple, le signal fournit des informations qui aident à décider d'effectuer ou non un basculement.
