A washing machine, which is provided with a body (11), an agitating blade (18), and a laundry/water-draining tank (15) that has the agitating blade (18) arranged in the center bottom section so as to be capable of rotating. Also provided are: a water tank (13) supported in a vibration-dampening manner inside the main body (11), the water tank (13) accommodating the laundry/water-draining tank (15) in a rotatable manner; and a motor (20) for driving the agitating blade (18) and the laundry/water-draining tank (15) in a rotatable manner. Further provided are a plurality of radially projecting ribs (28, 29) on the top surface of the stirring blade (18), and stainless-steel plates (31) embedded between the plurality of ribs (28, 29).
