Method of displaying an image of a Petri dish (205) on a display screen (304) of a user interface (302), said user interface (302) comprising a means of activation (306), said method comprising the following steps: acquisition of at least two images of the Petri dish (205), each image of the Petri dish (205) being associated with a different position of the Petri dish (205), each position being localised in an acquisition reference frame with respect to a first (206) and a second (208) axis of rotation of said Petri dish (205) and for one and the same determined angle of inclination of said Petri dish (205) with first co-ordinates; placement in memory of each image acquired of the Petri dish (205) and of the values of the corresponding first co-ordinates so as to compile a list of the first co-ordinates of the images acquired; issuing of a request to display an image of the Petri dish (205) by means of the actuation of the activation means (306) in a restitution reference frame; restitution of at least one image of the Petri dish (205), said at least one image of the Petri dish (205) being associated with first co-ordinates of the list of the first co-ordinates on the display screen (304).
