The purpose of the present invention is to set a plurality of values relating to a topic when collecting opinions related to the topic, and to enable a writer of an opinion to ascertain the background behind thinking related to values. In the present invention, a topic and values relating to the topic are input, opinions related to the topic are searched, past opinions of writers of an opinion are searched, a degree of importance related to the values in past statements is calculated, and the retrieved opinions are displayed. On the basis of the degree of importance of a plurality of values, writers are mapped on a display unit. By associating individual opinions related to the topic with the writers and displaying the same, each opinion can be referenced while ascertaining the degree to which the writers of an opinion place importance on the values. The degree of importance of values is calculated by finding places where expressions having a similarity of meaning with respect to the values appear in past statements by the writers, and accumulating across the range of past statements the multiplied value of context factors and the similarity of meaning of expressions in each appearance location.
