A device for separating magnetic material according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with a washing tank, and a magnetic material adsorption mechanism which adsorbs and removes magnetic material included in water to be treated that is in the washing tank, said magnetic material adsorption mechanism including: a plurality of case members which are fixed to a lid body of the washing tank, which are provided extending vertically from the lid body towards a lower part, and which are disposed along an outer peripheral surface of the washing tank; a plurality of rod-shaped magnetic members disposed so as to be capable of being inserted into and extracted from interiors of the plurality of case members; an agitator which is disposed at a centre of a space demarcated by the plurality of case members; and a raising/lowering mechanism with which the plurality of magnetic members are inserted into and extracted from the interiors of the plurality of case members. The device for separating magnetic material is further provided with: a temporary storage tank having, temporarily stored therein, the water to be treated from which the magnetic material adsorption mechanism has adsorbed and removed the magnetic material; a washing-water supply tank which, while the plurality of magnetic members are in a state of having been removed from the plurality of case members, washes and removes the magnetic material adhered to outer peripheral surfaces of the plurality of case members; and a magnetic material storage tank having, stored therein, the magnetic material which has been washed and removed. La présente invention concerne, selon un mode de réalisation, un dispositif de séparation de matériau magnétique qui comprend une cuve de lavage et un mécanisme d'adsorption de matériau magnétique qui adsorbe et élimine un matériau magnétique présent dans de l'eau à traiter qui se trouve dans la cuve de lavage. Le mécanisme d'adsorption de matériau magnétique comporte : une pluralité d'éléments boîtiers qui sont fixés à un corps de couvercle de la cuve de lavage, placés de façon à s'étendre verticalement depuis le corps de couvercle en direction d'une partie inférieure et disposés le long d'une surface périphérique externe de la cuve de lavage ; une pluralité d'éléments magnétiques en forme de tige disposés de façon à être aptes à être insérés dans des intérieurs de la pluralité d'éléments boîtiers et à en être extraits ; un agitateur qui est disposé au centre d'un espace délimité par la pluralité d'éléments boîtiers ; et un mécanisme d'élévation/abaissement avec lequel la pluralité d'éléments magnétiques sont insérés dans les intérieurs de la pluralité d'éléments boîtiers et en sont extraits.
