Summary: | Provided are a method for manufacturing a soft magnetic electrical contact material having a self-arc blowout property and a product thereof. The contact material is itself a compound material, capable of using a short-circuit current to generate an electromagnetic force itself when the contact breaks the current, so as to increase the arc blowout capacity of an arc-extinguishing system of a circuit breaker, achieving faster electric arc movement, reducing burnout of the contact, and improving the aim of short-circuit breaking capacity. A major feature of this type of contact material is being able to be made into various specifications and various forms, to be conveniently applied to various types of alternating current circuit breakers having an arc-extinguishing mechanism.
