A device for placing in a cardiac valve to assist operation of natural cardiac valve leaflets, the device including a frame for anchoring the device, configured to be placed upstream of the cardiac annulus and shaped to prevent the frame from shifting downstream of the cardiac valve annulus, and at least one anchor extension attached to the frame, the anchor extension configured to extend through the leaflets of the cardiac valve at commissures of the cardiac valve and behind the natural leaflets, preventing the anchor extensions from shifting back from the downstream side of the annulus to the upstream side of the annulus. L'invention concerne un dispositif destiné à être placé dans une valvule cardiaque afin de seconder le fonctionnement des lames de valvules cardiaques naturelles, le dispositif comprenant un cadre pour ancrer le dispositif, conçu pour être placé en amont de l'anneau cardiaque et façonné de tel sorte à empêcher le cadre de se déplacer en aval de l'anneau de la valvule cardiaque, et au moins un prolongement d'ancrage fixé sur ledit cadre. Le prolongement d'ancrage est conçu pour s'étendre au travers des lames de la valvule cardiaque, aux commissures de ladite valvule cardiaque et derrière les lames naturelles, empêchant ainsi le déplacement en retour des prolongements d'ancrage depuis le côté en aval de l'anneau vers le côté en amont de l'anneau. Un appareil et des méthodes associés sont également décrits.
