A method including authenticating a voucher which has a time limited validity period. The method comprises: a user requesting issuance of a token to a customer in a machine readable form; and issuing one or more modified versions of the token to the user, each modified version of the token being associated with a different time period of validity of the token; scanning the ticket on a scanning device connected to a terminal operated by the user; the scanning device modifying the token according to a current time period; and the terminal operated by the user comparing the modified token provided by the scanner with the modified tokens issued by the central server to validate the scanned token. A further method is provided for performing a transaction, between a customer and a vendor, using a customer's mobile phone as an authorisation device. The further method comprises: a requesting a payment authorisation and receiving a single use authorisation code from the financial service provider which displays on the customer's mobile phone as an optically readable image; and the customer scanning the optically readable image on an optical scanning device to authorise the transaction. L'invention concerne un procédé comprenant l'étape consistant à authentifier un bon dont la période de validité est limitée dans le temps. Le procédé comporte les étapes suivantes: un utilisateur demande la délivrance d'un coupon à un client sous une forme lisible par une machine; et une ou plusieurs versions modifiées du coupon sont délivrées à l'utilisateur, chaque version modifiée du coupon étant associée à une période différente de validité du coupon; le ticket est lu sur un dispositif de balayage relié à un terminal exploité par l'utilisateur; le dispositif de balayage modifie le coupon en fonction d'une période actuelle; et le terminal exploité par l'utilisateur compare le coupon modifié émis par le lecteur aux coupons modifiés délivrés par le serveur central pour valider le coupon lu. L'invention concerne un autre procédé destiné à effectuer une transaction, entre un client et un vendeur, en utilisant le téléphone mobile d'un client en tant que dispositif d'autorisation. L'autre procédé comporte les étapes suivantes: une autorisation de paiement est demandée et un code d'autorisation à usage unique est reçu en provenance du prestataire de services financiers, ledit code s'affichant sur le téléphone mobile du client comme une image lisible optiquement; et le client lit l'image lisible optiquement sur un dispositif de balayage optique pour autoriser la transaction.
