The present invention provides methods for increasing wood density, modulus of elasticity or modulus of rupture, in trees of industrial interest by regulating the expression of transcription factors in the trees, while reducing undesirable growth effects associated with the expression of the transcription factors. Cette invention concerne des procédés permettant d'accroître la densité, le module d'élasticité ou le module de rupture du bois, chez les arbres présentant un intérêt industriel par régulation de l'expression des facteurs de transcription chez les arbres, tout en réduisant les effets de croissance indésirables associés à l'expression des facteurs de transcription.
