Cette invention concerne l'utilisation des canaux radio non utilisés. Un mode de réalisation selon l'invention consiste à : obtenir des informations concernant un emplacement d'un dispositif, accéder à une base de données pour obtenir des fréquences de canaux radio non utilisés associés à l'emplacement, effectuer un balayage actif d'au moins une partie des fréquences de canaux radio non utilisés audit sans effectuer de balayage actif des fréquences attribuées.
