The invention relates to a casing for protecting a container from projectiles, which is to cover an outer surface of the wall of the container, to a method for manufacturing the casing and to a container provided with same. Said casing (1) is suitable for sealing openings made through the wall by the impacts of projectiles (B) such as firearm bullets, the casing including at least one stack (1) comprising at least one first layer (2) made up of a first cross-linked rubber composition and at least one second layer which is directly secured to an inner or outer surface of the first layer or one of the first layers, and which is formed by a second cross-linked rubber composition. According to the invention, said compositions are compact, the second composition being made of at least one isoprene homopolymer, and the first layer or each of the first layers exhibits more viscous, less resilient behaviour than the one of more second inner and/or outer layers, and is capable, upon each impact, of creeping into contact with a resilient deformation of the one or more second layers while forming a seal (5) in each opening. L'invention concerne une enveloppe de protection d'un container contre des projectiles destinée à recouvrir une face externe de paroi du container, un procédé de fabrication de l'enveloppe et ce container qui en est pourvu. Cette enveloppe (1 ) est apte à obturer des orifices générés à travers la paroi par des impacts de projectiles (B) tels que des balles d'arme à feu, l'enveloppe comprenant au moins un empilement (1 ) comportant au moins une première couche (2) formée d'une première composition de caoutchouc réticulée et au moins une seconde couche qui est directement solidaire d'une face interne ou externe de la ou d'une première couche et qui est formée d'une seconde composition de caoutchouc réticulée. Selon l'invention, ces compositions sont compactes, la seconde composition étant à base d'au moins un homopolymère d'isoprène, et la ou chaque première couche présente un comportement plus visqueux et moins élastique que la ou les seconde(s) couche(s) interne et/ou externe et est apte à fluer à chaque impact au contact d'une déformation élastique de la ou des seconde(s) couche(s) en formant un bouchon (5) en chaque orifice.
