L'invention concerne une technique consistant à estimer au niveau d'un dispositif de communication une qualité de service disponible pour ledit dispositif de communication via un réseau d'accès radio, à comparer la qualité de service estimée à une qualité de service actuellement atteinte via un point d'accès fonctionnant hors du réseau d'accès radio, et à décider s'il y a lieu ou non d'effectuer un transfert dudit point d'accès vers ledit réseau d'accès radio au moins en partie en référence au résultat de ladite comparaison.
